Top ten things to know...
1. WE ARE A NEIGHBORHOOD BAKERY, CAFE, AND RESTAURANT
2. OPEN FOR BREAKFAST & LUNCH, Wednesday through Saturday, 8 am to 2 pm (lunch starts at 11 am)
3. ORDER AT THE COUNTER, pay up front, grab a table and relax - We’ll bring your food and drinks
4. PRE-ORDER PASTRIES BY THE DOZEN - we bake fresh each morning, but with a little notice, we can handle pick-up orders in quantity. Inquire by email...hillsboroughbakeshop@gmail.com
5. WE CAN CATER THAT (probably). Got a group, but don't want to cook? Doing something nice for your staff?
If you can swing by and pick it up, we can help you out. Call or email to discuss...
6. WE DO NOT ACCEPT OR PROMPT YOU FOR ANY TIPS, BUT... (see number 7)
7. WE DO APPLY A FAIR WAGE CHARGE on sales (the same 20% you’d probably leave anywhere else) which makes it economically possible to pay ALL our employees a living wage - This is a very complex issue that I can’t get into here, but I believe in this model
8. PRETTY PICTURES can be found on our Instagram page
9. WE RARELY ANSWER OUR PHONE, usually because we're busy. It's not personal. We check messages as often as possible
